ATLANTA LIFE Magazine Recognized by Magazine Association of the Southeast (MAGS) with 11 Awards, Including Three Gold
ATLANTA LIFE Magazine announces its recognition at the 2009 GAMMA Awards presented by the Magazine Association of the Southeast (MAGS). The prestigious annual event recognized publications for excellence in journalism, design and photography for issues published in 2008. ATLANTA LIFE Magazine was awarded the Gold Award in the following three categories: Best Single Cover– (June 2008) The judge said: “The bright colorful energy of the Peter Maxx illustration is a nice choice for the cover of a cultural guide. The design is nicely in sync with the artwork, and is controlled so that it conveys the information without competing with the imagery.”
Best Web site – Here’s what the judge had to say about www.AtlantaLifeMag.com: “Simple, clean look. Subtle at times, which is a nice change of pace in a world of hetchy-sketchy Web sites. This site reflects not only the magazine, but also the marketing plan and target audience.”
Launched in July 2006, ATLANTA LIFE Magazine has rapidly become one of the most recognized and widely read regional publications in metro Atlanta. A lifestyle magazine focused on engaging and provocative editorial, the publication and corresponding Web site cover a broad range of topics relevant to its demographic. Publisher and Editor in Chief Thomas Boc said, “We are honored to have received these 11 awards for only our second full year of publication, and we look forward to many more years of enlightening, educating and entertaining our readers.” Media Contact: Terri Papproth, Associate Publisher
